Flames News · WPIAL & VNN Sports High School Senior Student Athlete Spotlight Series

Hundreds of thousands of High School student athletes have had their careers cut short due to the current shutdown of our Schools.   VNN Sports and the WPIAL Athletic Directors wanted to give some of these Students added recognition as they get ready to move on to the next phase of their lives.  Our senior Student Athlete spotlight series CONCLUDES with John Kenst from Shaler Area:

Name: John Kenst

Sport played and position: Volleyball, setter and RHS Hitter

John has been playing Volleyball for the past 6 seasons and is one of the top right side hitters and setters in the WPIAL.  He earned second team all-section honors his junior year as well as 3rd team all-wpial honors.  Head Volleyball Coach Paul Stadelman stated, “John is an extremely competitive player and hard working student athlete.  He excels both in and out of the classroom and is a good example to his teammates.  John has put in countless hours in improving his physicality and it showed on the court.  He worked to improve every day and was a lethal left-handed hitter for the Titans”.  John will continue his education at Robert Morris University in the fall for Data Analytics.

Thanks again to the Senior Class of 2020 and Best of Luck in the future.
